Meet Tima
Born in Fes and raised in Casablanca, Tima is a self-taught Moroccan-American artist now working in Poughkeepsie, New York. She builds one-of-a-kind paintings slowly, using texture, color, and symbolism to explore identity, womanhood, heritage, and resilience.
“My art is my voice—a conversation between culture, womanhood, and the heart.”

Where I Came From No. 1 – Moroccan Sculptural Wall Art
Hand-sculpted gold peonies rise above a woman turned toward her heritage. A radiant zellige medallion echoes traditional Moroccan tilework, while silver wheat stalks symbolize roots and abundance. Layered texture and gold leaf create a sculptural painting that shifts and glows with changing light. An original, signed work from the Where I Came From series.
